DEI PROJECTS

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Projects

WELCOME

It is our desire at Baby Bling to ensure that every member of our community feels included, supported, recognized and respected. To ensure that we are a company that appreciates the importance of these values, we have formed a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Board.

FEATURED ARTIST

"Amongst my tribe, babies and children are our most precious gifts and we take special care to adore and adorn them. Each item given to them is a deep expression of the family's love and gratefulness of the new life given to the community. This pattern features an abstract eagle feather form -- we believe eagle feathers are given to honor, show respect and to wish someone happiness, peace and prosperity, making it fitting to adorn our precious gifts of new life."

-Marlena

Marlena Myles

Artist

Marlena Myles is a self-taught Native American (Spirit Lake Dakota/Mohegan/Muscogee) artist located in St Paul, Minnesota. "NavajoStrong was created to aid the Navajo community during the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis. We strive to honor our ancestors and empower the Diné by working hard to help citizens who are affected by disease, poverty, and other health disparities on the Navajo Reservation."

Baby Bling is proud to support DREAMer's Roadmap which is an app created to help undocumented students find scholarships to go to college. For years undocumented students have struggled more than permanent residents or citizen students in everyday situations. But when senior year of high school comes around, it becomes one of the hardest years for an undocumented student. This is the year when most students find out that they don't qualify for FAFSA and the majority of scholarships. First, because they don't have a social security number and second because they are not "legal" permanent residents or citizens of the United States. Many students by this point are discouraged and don't believe that going to college is a possibility. That is why we are very proud to donate to DREAMer's Roadmap.

BABY BLING BOW-PEEPS

"Tying Us Together, With a Bow”

Baby Bling is a beautifully diverse community and we are elated to have the opportunity to showcase all of you. We come together for our love of bows, for the excitement of seeing all of our babies grow up and graduate from Itty Bittys, to Knots, to FAB's and DEB's, to clips, scrunchies and beyond. We love to share our most treasured milestone moments, and while the bows tie us together, ultimately it is our shared journey as mothers, fathers, parents, grandparents and caregivers that is the foundation of this community. We hope you, too, will look forward to monthly highlights of our friends, our Bow Peeps.
